چکیده
Objectives: To evaluate the correlation between 3- and 6-week postoperative 24-hour pad weight, daily number, International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaires for Male Lower Urinary Tract (ICIQ-MLUTS), ICIQ-Short Form (ICIQ-SF) UCLA Prostate Cancer Index (UCLA-PCI) in patients undergoing robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). Methods: This prospective study included RARP February November 2019. Patients completed a test, assessing weight 3 validated patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs); ICIQ-MLUTS, ICIQ-SF UCLA-PCI, preoperatively at 6 weeks postoperatively. Results: A total of 47 were study. There was strong (r = 0.71, P < 0.001) 0.68, 0.001). ICIQ-MLUTS incontinence 0.80, 0.01) QoL burden 0.79, weeks. moderate UCLA-PCI urinary function 0.58, 0.66, The number weak 0.34, Conclusion: PROMs may be used as substitute test post-prostatectomy (PPI) assessments early post-RARP period. scores correlate with weight. However, provide strongest PPI.

Patient-reported impotence and incontinence after nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy.
BACKGROUND The age-adjusted rate of radical prostatectomy, the most common treatment of early (nonmetastatic) prostate cancer, increased almost sixfold between 1984 and 1990. This increase was due in part to reported improvements in postoperative sexual potency after the use of newly developed "nerve-sparing" procedures. However, published estimates from physicians of impotence following variou...
متن کاملQuantifying the natural history of post-radical prostatectomy incontinence using objective pad test data
BACKGROUND Urinary incontinence (UI) following radical prostatectomy is a well-recognized risk of the surgery. In most patients post-operative UI improves over time. To date, there is limited objective, quantitative data on the natural history of the resolution of post-prostatectomy UI. The purpose of this study was to define the natural history of post radical prostatectomy incontinence using ...

متن کاملPatient-Reported Validated Functional Outcome After Extraperitoneal Robotic-Assisted Nerve-Sparing Radical Prostatectomy
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Erectile function after prostate surgery is an important criterion for patients when they are choosing a treatment modality for prostate cancer. Improved visualization, dexterity, and precision afforded by the da Vinci robot allow a precise dissection of the neurovascular bundles. We objectively assessed erectile function after robot-assisted extraperitoneal prostatect...
متن کاملConcordance between patient-reported and physician-reported sexual function after radical prostatectomy.
PURPOSE Accurately tracking health-related quality-of-life after radical prostatectomy is critical to counseling patients and improving technique. Physicians consistently overestimate functional recovery. We measured concordance between surgeon-assessed and patient-reported outcomes and evaluated a novel method to provide feedback to surgeons. MATERIALS AND METHODS Men treated with radical pr...
